Abraham Lincoln and his Parable About Reconstruction

President Lincoln told many parables throughout his presidency and this one in particular regarding Civil War Reconstruction was told to General A.J. Cresswell on the last day of his life. General Cresswell later passed it on to a correspondent from Harper’s Weekly.
