This is second part of Bruce Catton's 1958 article concerning the necessary knowledge required if one intends to justifiably label oneself a Civil War Buff. His piece consists of a single column listing the greatest battles of the war, and accompanying these five brief thumb-nail summaries is a map of the South Eastern U.S., highlighted with red stars, which serve to identify where the blood poured.
