Attached, you will find two letters to the N.Y. TIMES editors commenting on a seldom remembered assault that was launched against President Wilson during the Summer of 1918 by a group of Washington, D.C. suffragettes:
"Have these women nothing more serious to do than to annoy and molest the head of the nation, the nation of which 'they are so ashamed'?"
