About Us

OldMagazineArticles.com is a Los Angeles-based website; privately owned and operated, it is the effort of one old magazine enthusiast in particular who believes deeply that today's readers of history can learn a good deal from the old periodicals. It is a primary source website and is designed to serve as a reference for students, educators, authors, researchers, dabblers, dilettantes, hacks and the merely curious. The old articles, essays, poetry, cartoons and photographs that can be found on the site have all been collected from a number of different libraries, bookshops and yard sales throughout the United States and Europe. The topics selected reflect the whims of the editor as well as the growing interests of the internet community. To the best of our understanding, all the content is in the public domain and you need never ask our permission should you wish to use any of the articles for publication; we do ask as a courtesy, however, that you provide this simple credit:

"This article was provided by OldMagazineArticles.com"

All the primary source content that appears on the site is a digital facsimile of the original, presented in PDF format in order that the users will be able to save the files or email them to friends. However, not all content appears exactly as it did so many years ago; the majority of items have been scanned and rearranged so as to make a faster loading file. Decorations and advertisements have been removed and page numbers included whenever possible.

Should you have any questions, please contact us.
