Jews and the U.N. Conference:
a Place at the Table

Clearly the biggest difference between the early United Nations and the monstrosity it has grown into is the sympathy it once held for Jewry. This column is about the Jewish Labor Committee at the U.N. Conference in San Francisco and their plea that Jewish life be rapidly restored throughout devastated Europe. The Committee was headed by Adolph Held (1885 – 1969).
